You'll sweat from places that you normally sweat. Stomachs are not the first place that people sweat . Muscle activity is not connected to sweat glands. Think about when you go up stairs. You sweat under your arms and on your forehead, but it has nothing to do with climing the stairs.

To *lose* (not loose) weight, you need to incorporate some sort of aerobic or cadio activity. You should be doing at least 20-30 minutes 2-4 times a week. This is on top of doing other exercises like circuit training and free weights. You CANNOT lose weight by targeting a certain place. Weigh loss comes from an overall burning of fat. Cardio/aerobic activities can include aerobics classes, step classes, running, walking, biking, the elliptical machine, etc.

Pilates is a 'workout' similar to Yoga. It works on the core muscles of the body (lower back and abs) to develop overall strength and health. There are several different types including 'ball' pilates, mat pilates, and a pilates 'board'. Most health clubs offer ball and mat Pilates classes and many many video tapes are available. They can be a fabulous way to tone up, but if one is already overweight and wants to see a more dramatic change, they will need to also incorporate aerobic activity.

Good luck to you! : )

sweat has nothing to do with fat loss. Also doing crunches does NOT target fat loss in that area, it only builds muscle.

If it is fat loss you are after, which it sounds like you are, its all about nutrition. You must eat the right amount of calories for your body and workout 3-5 days per week.

Reply:well you are not working on your bell the corrected way;try wrapping your belly with some thing that has plastic or rubber and do belly crunches.
Reply:go buy a denise Austin video.I always sweat doing her exersice's.
Reply:Belly fat is hard to lose, but is best lost with all over aerobic work outs...running, swimming, biking, etc.
Reply:In order to lose belly fat and strengthen the abdominal muscles, you have to do cardiovascular exercise in addition to crunches (or other ab strengthening exercises). Try walking, jogging, or an aerobic routine for 30 minutes a day, 3 days a week. Also create a healthy diet program by looking at the U.S. food pyramid website.
Reply:play soccer well be cool and all your weight problems will be solved : )

sweat is the result of your body getting overheated

you lose fat when your body burns it doing excercise or sleeping general stuff during your day if you eat healthy it will also drop

hope that helps
Reply:Many people have said that doing crunches will not burn fat, it will only build muscle. This is not true. Imagine your stomache muscle when you are doing crunches, and the fat around it. When you are doing crunches, the muscle has to have fuel. The fuel for these muscles? the fat around the muscle. When you do crunches, your muscles are burning the fat. When it loses fat to burn, it builds muscle (seeing that you are eating enough calories and a healthy diet) If you do not get enough calories adn the muscle does not have any fat to burn, it will "eat itself" for energy.....

You do not have to sweat to burn fat...seeing that the muscle is burning fat inside yourself...

pilates is a type of exercise regimen that utilizes the heart, without say, going on a run. Most pilates ruitines you are on the ground, doing a type of slow movements that target specific areas. (http://www.winsorpilates.com)

I think if you really want to lose belly fat (this works for me)..Dont eat too many sweats or fatty foods (these will just build up and take longer to burn off if eaten in excess) , do cardio to burn extra fat, and do a few sets of crunches every night. You will burn alot of fat, and build up the muscle (which in turn will burn extra calories when not even being worked)

good luck
Reply:You can't target fat loss by working out certain muscle groups. Fat is burned off by aerobic excercise and lots of it. There is no quick fix. If you are committed to losing your gut you must put in the hard work. The fat is lost all over at the same time. Men accumulate fat most noticeably around their midsection, women around the hips, buttocks, thighs and waist. Unfortunately the last thing to go will be your belly fat, but the good news is that you can eventually lose it. Good nutrition is equally important to lots of excercise. Try some low impact excercise to start like walking %26amp; biking, (stationary excercise bike is good too), then up to running and swimming. You can try pilates but it's a lot harder than it looks plus it targets muscle groups that most guys seldom work out. The girls are much tougher than you think!
Reply:Unfortunately you can not target a specific area to loose fat. The only way to do it is through lots and lots of cardio. There are many theories out there but I can tell you from my experience (my whole family is very over weight, a couple even classed as morbidly obeesed) I grew up heavy, and when I decided to change my life had to work way harder then the books tell you to. I had to work out 5-6 days per week, 60-90 minutes of cardio per session + 2-3 days of strength training. Once I reached my desired weight I HAVE to workout 4-5 days per week at 60 minutes of cardio per session. I did it, and I know you can to, good luck to you !!!!
Reply:If you have stubborn belly fat, the only way you can reduce your fat is by doing aerobic exercises. During activities like swimming, rowing and walking, enough oxygen is supplied to the body to burn fat. The healthiest way to prevent a fat stomach is by ensuring that your weight is normal for your height.More information available at http://www.toloseweight.org/losestomachf...
