How can i prevent sweating--and plz dont say deoderant!!!?

Go to the dermatologist. He can prescribe a special type of medication that you put on your armpits once or twice a day that will really help your sweating problem. I've found two that really work, Xerac AC and Drysol.

How can i prevent sweating--and plz dont say deoderant!!!?
you can't, it's your bodys way of keeping you from overheating
Reply:whats wrong with deoderant?

but anyway changing a diet can have good effect

and drinking alot of water
Reply:Make sure your thryoid is ok to reduce amount of sweat
Reply:Sweating is a natural part of the cooling off of the body, you cant and don't want to stop the process of sweating.
Reply:Deodorants help with odour. Antiperspirants help reduce sweating..
Reply:Hi i have found this site for you hope it helps you.

Reply:You can try wearing lighter clothing like cotton and drinking more water to keep yourself cooled off. It worked for me!
Reply:Not deodorant, use Anti-perspirant.
Reply:as long as your not stinky sweaty its ok....you can't prevent sweat thats what cools you body when your hot. So to prevet it you would have to dress light or not exert your self.
Reply:Relax! Sit in the air conditioning
Reply:well, a deodorant is for odor so i won't say that but make sure you use a strong anti-persperant, that might help control some of the sweat - i don't think you can prevent sweating, it is your bodies way of cooling you off in hot weather; if you sweat alot, see a doctor, maybe you have a problem. and don't remove your sweat glands, it isn't healthy.
Reply:I have the same problem 2.I sweat a lot especially around my armpits(don't say illl itz natural_).U shouln't be emberrased of sweating. And if someone makes fun of u just say that they sweat 2.Remember its natural and don't be emberrased!!!
Reply:wear lighter clothing, wash more fequently and use anti-persperent, If you are overweight try to lose some weight
Reply:i want to know too i have the same problem
Reply:You can't -- and you wouldn't really want to. Sweat is your body's way of doing several things. One is clearing things from your body, and another is a cooling mechanism. Every time you elevate your heartrate above its normal resting rate, you are going to perspire. That's just the way your body is made.

Some people have problems with sweating -- for example, during menopause, women can break out in a hot flush and sweat profusely for no reason at all. When you are nervous, or embarrassed, you can sweat. So there really isn't any way of preventing it.

What you can do is minimize the effects of sweat. Try wearing cotton close to your skin, if you live in a warm climate. If not, wear a polypropelene, which wicks away the sweat. If you're concerned about underarm sweat, you can wear dress shields which will protect your clothing and avoid showing a 'wet' stain under your arms. They can be washed daily, so they stay fresh.

Hope this is helpful.
Reply:You can't.
Reply:Movie stars used to inject botox in their arm pits to prevent the sweating.
Reply:well u can get these sweat pads and u just put them in ur arm pits and it holds in all the sweat all day
Reply:antibacterial soap, I just heard that. I don't know if it works, but you can try
Reply:I am going to say deodrant....try to get one that has a really high level of protection like Secret Ultra Plus. All of the cheap brands wont work well if you sweat a lot.
Reply:Hi.. Sweating is actually a natural process for everyone.. if u are worry abt the odour.. then look into ur diet...

skip the meat if u are those prone cases...

I tried.. and i am ok when i oni had vege :P
Reply:There is a perscription product you can get.
Reply:u cant prevent sweating.. sweating is a part of every one.. if you dont sweat ur not normal at all.. everyone sweats so u shouldnt have a problem with that... besides if you dont sweat how can you lose ur calories????
Reply:U CANT ...UNLESS U STOP EXERCISING AND GET FAT THEN YES DO THAT

dumb question...
Reply:there is a surgery for that
Reply:Have you had your blood sugar checked?....Sweating is a symptom of diabetes. It can also be a side effect of some prescription medicines. If this seems to be a problem, talk with your doctor, there are medications that can be prescribed for exessive sweating.
Reply:Man. A good scrub down twice a day with Dial antibacterial soap is not too bad.

Then... you can lotion up with some gold bond medicated body lotion.

Then... powder up with some gold bond powder.

After that you should wear an undershirt to keep the sweat at bay.

There are really cute undershirts on the market for us gals, you know?

Well, heck. You kinda need to wear an anti perspirant/ deodorant. No way to get around that, really. Then you can pick out a nice body splash and have that be it.
Reply:use an antipersperant
Reply:For underarm sweating, to reduce it you can use Certain Dri. Put it on at night everynight for a week and then every few days after that. I use it and it really works.

How does one stop sweating after exercise?

My running partner is a sweater. Plain and simple. The problem is that he has to schedule his workouts so that he has at least an hour between the time he stops running/exercising and when he has to attend a meeting. What can he do to cool down faster? He tried taking a hot shower instead of a cold one, but that didn't work for him.
How does one stop sweating after exercise?
Hot or cold shower doesn't help here at all. All he has to do is just take a short nap right after the excercise for about atleast 30 minutes But without taking any shower and then take medium-cold shower when he gets up. This helps a lot coz while he is taking nap it allows all the stimulated body systems to relax and help regain its normal body temperature. As a result, every profusing sweat glands go back to normal state and brings much cooler effect to the whole body.

sweating is healthy. i sweat more than any1 i kno.... it gets poisons out of your body

My ductwork under elevated house is covered by drywall and is sweating thru the drywall, what do i do?

i have a elevated house. the ductwork is framed in and covered by drywall. it sweats and makes stains on the ceiling when it is really humid. any suggestions?
My ductwork under elevated house is covered by drywall and is sweating thru the drywall, what do i do?
In my basement if I don't leave a vent open my ducts does the same,so maybe you need some way for air to get under there.
My ductwork under elevated house is covered by drywall and is sweating thru the drywall, what do i do?
The first thing that I would do is make sure your AC unit is in tip top shape. It may be leaking from inside the ducts and this is moisture that should be picked up by the evaporator.

I doubt the dry wall temp is below the dew point, but insulating may help.

Help on hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)!!!?

Are there any medication (no surgery please) on hyperhidrosis. I've tried few, but without success. If available on the shelf, please advise me. I've almost given up hope as hyperhidrosis hinders my social progress.
Help on hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)!!!?
there is a product called "Tussy" it is been around forever and there isn't alot of advertising about it but i have had a problem with sweating to the point that even my clothes were stained yellow. i started using "tussy" about 16 years ago and i have never been happier. i always thought that for such an effective product it was never given much credit but it does work!
Help on hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)!!!?
i had hyperhidrosis since i was a little kid and i did surgery and it worked wonderfull, my suggestion would be that.

botox is terrible it costs alot and it does damage to you after awhile.

nothing really works good... i tried roll ons to stop the sweating and lots of weird things.

if you are really against surgery the only thing i can think of is take a lil towel or rag with you and use that...
Reply:The initial treatment for hyperhidrosis is usually medical and does not involve surgery. There are ointments and salves available (i.e., Drysol) that are astringents that tend to dry up the sweat glands. Another treatment is iontopheresis. This consists of a treatment of electrical stimulation, usually in the hands. Patients place their hands in a bath through which an electrical current is passed. This treatment tends to "stun" the sweat glands and can decrease the secretion of sweat for periods of 6 hours to one week. One of the most recent treatments proposed is the injection of botulinum toxin (Botox) into the area of excessive sweating. This is a toxin that affects nerve endings and decreases the transmission of the nerve impulses to the sweat glands thus resulting in decreased sweating. It generally requires several injections in the palms or underarms and it remains effective from one to six months. Repeated injections are nearly always required to maintain an adequate level of dryness.

In addition to the above treatments, many medicines have been utilized with varying success. These include both sedatives (in those patients with stress-induced hyperhidrosis) and medications that affect the nervous system. A family practitioner or internist often begins the initial treatment for hyperhidrosis. Cases not responding to simple treatment regimens are often then referred to a specialist such as a dermatologist or neurologist. In general, surgery is contemplated only when the less invasive medical treatments have failed to provide adequate treatment

Excessive hands and feet sweating?

I am 13 and i've been having this for quite along time.

Any tips... its just the hands and feet..

Not the armpits.. i dont know why..
Excessive hands and feet sweating?
Hi,

It sounds like you have HYPER-HYDROSIS. i have just been diagnosed about a year ago becuase of excessive hands and feet sweating was messing with my piano playing. There is no cure, however i have managed it by drinking a lot of water and going to the gym 3-5 times a week. My doctor perscribed me PROBANTHENE and that did stop the sweating but it shortened my mental alertness 10 fold.
Excessive hands and feet sweating?
You are starting puberty, so you will sweat more than you have ever sweat before.

My friend was sweating and his heart was pounding, what can I do?

He lives an hour from me, but it is 12:30 at night.

The last time I spoke to him was around 10:30 pm.

He isn't answering my calls, texts or emails.
My friend was sweating and his heart was pounding, what can I do?
I would drive out there. Better safe than sorry. Even if everything was okay, At least you can have some peaceful sleep instead of worrying. I would definately drive out there if i were you.
My friend was sweating and his heart was pounding, what can I do?
Visit him n make love
Reply:He probably fell asleep. If you feel something was really wrong call 911. They should give you directions from there. Hope he was alright!
Reply:call the police in his area, or call 911 in your area to ask for their help.

And come back to let us know how it turned out.
Reply:call a neighbor of his or the police station they will check on him , they do in my lil town.
Reply:Go .....oh heck, you should call his neghbor, get the phone book and go by address in the phone book, or just call the doctor that is over there or....don't risk it to save face, no matter if it is unlikly or not.

drive if you must, but an hour is an hour.

not advised that you shrug things off when it's like this.

Reft~
Reply:If you're seriously concerned for his wellbeing then you could call the police in his area and ask that they stop by his place to check up on him. However if he was just exercising or something then sweating and pounding heart may be perfectly natural and he may just be in the shower.

Use common sense. For example, if he was just watching TV and the symptoms happened then you may want to call someone to check in on him. If you interrupted him and his partner having an energetic sexual romp then don't worry about it.
Reply:call the hospitals just incase he is there if you get no response call someone who is a good friend of his and can run to his house to check on him. if all else fails maybe you should call an ambulance, or someone like that to check at his residence to make sure he isnt hurt.
Reply:If he isn't answering your calls or emails or texts maybe he decided to go to the hospital. I would call the local hospitals to find out if he's there. If he's not at a hospital call an ambulance and send them to his house to make sure that he's okay. Do you know anyone who lives close to him that can check on him? Maybe he was just having a panic attack and went to bed and can't here his phone ringing. I get panic attacks all the time and that's what happens to me. Hopefully that everything is okay.

EDIT: Please let us know what happens.
Reply:Call 911 in that area and have them check on him right away!
Reply:He wants you to come over !! Obvious !

This man is so so so clever.

Don't call the police, they will spoil your night !
Reply:assuming he is not taking any type of drugs including alcohol, illegal, prescription, etc. and he doesn't have any medical conditions, he is probably having a panic attack of some sort. if that is the case it will subside within 10-60min and he will be fine so i wouldn't worry too much. but if he is diabetic or something it may be a problem.
Reply:There is such a thing as "heart neurosis." It is a condition that perfectly mimics heart attacks, and yet it is completely psychological. Sometimes people who get the attacks know it's not real at some level of consciousness. If your friend says he's OK, he probably is. Look at this:

http://www.mindpub.com/art343.htm
Reply:sorry, but he is dead

i'm sure he had a long life

well that's our fate
Reply:he could be diabetic, pop around and see if his still standing .Making sure someone is alright dosen't make you rude , anyways better take chances than regret it. Hopefully your friend is alright.
Reply:its better to be safe than sorry, and its worth having that peace of mind. call emergency and state what you said above and ask them to check it out. And because he's a cop, they will get onto it right away. Don't leave it unsettled coz you will be worried about it constantly. And by the sounds of it, it may be leading up to a heart attack. My husband nearly died coz he had similar problems and we didn't check it out sooner. Hope all goes well.

If you can, post an update on how he is going?
Reply:When I was a letter carrier and many a time I called 911 when a older patron let their mail build up. Not once did the police get upset,if anything they were glad they were being checked on.Calling the hospitals will tell you nothing. Because of the patient privacy act.Either go in person, call 911, or contact someone who can check on him. It's probably nothing but you sound like a good friend and would feel awful if something happened to him.I had a heart attack 2 years ago and drove myself to the hospital instead of calling someone.Big mistake I almost died. Please check on him and let us know what happened. You and he will be in my prayers.
Reply:take him in or to the hospital if he is not well

How to stop sweating?

I have dealt with excessive armpit sweat for years (which is really depressing because I'm a very girly girl and like to wear cute tops)... but I bought this stuff called Certain Dri in the deoderant section... get it at any drug store. It works like crazy. I was amazed. You just put it on before you go to sleep. It itches like crazy if you were it during the day. Try it out... or like the other guy said... botox (if you can afford it)
How to stop sweating?
Sweating is a healthy thing. So unless it's like super excessive just wear antiperspirant deodorants.

If you've got some extreme case, there's a procedure where you can have your sweat glands injected with botox to reduce sweating, but it doesn't last forever.

I keep on sweating to much even when its really cold. what the best solution?

If your sweating is excessive, you should see a doctor because it may be a hormonal problem. A simple blood test will determine if it is or isn't.
I keep on sweating to much even when its really cold. what the best solution?
Check your blood sugar.

Check your blood sugar level - it may be nothing. Also, see a doctor, and tell them about the problem.

I've learned that smoking or over expsoure to the sun ,your skin thins which makes water/sweat harder to hold in- if you do none of these then only other reason is to get in shape, the better in shape you are the less you sweat, and drink alot of water because thats what cools your body down, if you dont drink enough water your body is gonna sweat to cool itself down.

Maybe it has something to do with the type of indoor heating, and the type of warmer clothing you're wearing: use layered clothing and all porous / wicking type of clothes, that allow some bit of air movement.

I have this really nice warm sweater but it does not 'breathe' and it REALLY makes me sweat after an hour or so.

Hope this helps!

Sometimes i get sweating, light headed, dizzy,my hands and legs shake...what could it be?

It could be anything from a panic attack, to hypoglycemia...blood pressure issues, or a respiratory infection. Go to a doctor and tell them what's going on. Trust me on this...I waited to go once because I thought it was all in my head, and it actually was. What I mean is...I had an anyerism that burst. The problem was...the symptoms were the SAME as a sinus headache so I blew it off for a long time, until worse things started happening. So...be safe rather than sorry. Good luck!

lack of sugar?
Sometimes i get sweating, light headed, dizzy,my hands and legs shake...what could it be?
Maybe low blood sugar? Go see a doctor...
Reply:A panic attack (anxiety)
Reply:diabetes maybe or just low blood pressure, see your doc
Reply:have you missed a meal...are you eating regularly? either that or you could be diabetic, are you urinating a lot or very thirsty? can you pin it down to any particular time of day? go to the doc.
Reply:or maybe you are dehydrated. a few cup of water a day can help if not go to see a doctor
Reply:Its just an orgasm. Relax and enjoy it.
Reply:It is symptoms of general weakness. Do you eat good food?

As well check your blood pressure, it could be low.
Reply:hypoglycemia - (fancy name for low blood sugar), common - just change what you eat - eat more small meals, spread throughout day so that your body doesn't go without fuel for an extended period of time (people will stop complaining about your mood swings also)
Reply:panic attacks??

lack of sugar??
Reply:maybe its your period?
Reply:sound like low blood sugar...you need to eat more frequently this could cause you to pass out
Reply:tell your mum to stop tickling you Elmo
Reply:Sounds like you're low on blood sugar (glucose). Go to your local pharmacy ask get some glucose tablets. Chew one or two and walk around a bit to get the blood flowing, and soon start feeling like your normal-self. Keep some tablets with you for those lousy days when you just simply have no time to eat. I do.
Reply:Having a knee trembler
Reply:I get this if I do anything too strenuous after a big meal. The only cure for me is to eat chocolate bars as quickly as possible. As soon as I swallow the first bite, I can feel the attack fading.

So I'd go with the lack of sugar theory.
Reply:It sounds like stress and the more you worry about it the worse it will become try to relax and do breathing exercises, hope you recover and enjoy life again
Reply:That's a pretty vague and limited description that can be attributed to a number of things. Like others said, low sugar (if you haven't eaten recently, etc) or anxiety could be to blame. Diabetes could be something to look into, like having your doctor do a blood sugar test...

Heat intolerance (too hot too easily) and muscular weakness (shaky, trip/fall a lot, legs go out from under you) can be a thyroid problem... Specifically, for the heat intolerance, it'd probably be overactive thyroid (hyperthyroid)... I think muscular weakness can be hyperthyroid OR hypothyroid (low thyroid). Do you find you're losing more hair lately? Always tired? Brittle nails? Look up some thyroid websites; try search phrase "thyroid symptoms" on Google.com, and see if anything you experience matches up. If it does, you might ask your doctor about TSH/T3/T4 blood testing to rule out (or diagnose) thyroid problem (and remember: ask him for the actual LEVELS--look up "thyroid levels" or "thyroid level ranges" on google.com for info--don't just let him say you're not in range and leave it at that. I had doctors (regular PCPs, who don't specialize so they don't always know the latest info) for years tell me I wasn't in range, but according to new studies about levels--placing appropriate levels at a range of .3 to 3.0 which is a change from their previous range of .5 to 5.0--my level was WAAAAYYY low. It bordered "too low" even at the old range. If you think your PCP has misdiagnosed, see a specialist... it's what I had to do, when I found out what my levels really were).

Besides the previous things, it could be something along the lines of an allergy. Notice what you've been doing, where you've gone, what you've eaten/smelled/touched, or other circumstances when this sweating and stuff occurs. If it seems to happen consistently with a particular thing (such as eating grapes, or walking through a field on your way to class, etc) then it may be indicitive of allergic reactions to something. Perhaps you can narrow down what might be your allergen, collect samples, and go to your PCP for blood analysis (they can test how you'd react to possible allergens by taking a blood sample and doing tests using those potential allergy-causing items).

Depending on what you're doing, or what time of year it is, it could be heat exhaustion/heat stroke. Heat stroke is pretty serious, and as I understand it, pretty rare--I believe it often results in death, so it's not as likely that you're experiencing heat stroke. Heat exhaustion, however, is common. One summer I was camping with family, spent too long in the lake without replenishing my sunscreen, and by the evening was TERRIBLY sunburned. The next morning, when it was again daytime and therefore warm again, I got outa bed (tents, campground, you know) and after a short while was feeling so overly fatigued I couldn't stand or walk without feeling like I'd collapse. I felt weak, parched (but I couldn't work up enough strength to get to the water), and I sat down on one of those picnic table seats (the attached ones) but could hardly keep myself from falling over. I was sunburned over my entire torso, face and arms (and even the part in my hair)... and my upper arms had second degree burns (dozens of minute round blisters all over, and 1-2 caterpillar-like blisters at the very top of each arm, just below my rotator cuff).

It was not fun. I don't recommend heat exhaustion. If you're feeling dizzy and lightheaded, and you've been working/playing out in the sun a lot, it could be Heat Exhaustion: sit or lay in a shady spot, dab yourself with cool, moist wash cloths (or any cloth you can wet and use), and take it easy a while. The feeling should pass, and it shouldn't turn too serious.

Besides all those suggestions, I can think of nothing else that readily comes to mind. For any one of those suggestions or anything else, it may be best to schedule an appointment with your PCP and just see what he says about it, or find out if he can run a couple tests if this reaction you have happens recurrently (maybe it's something besides diabetes, thyroid or allergy that (s)he can test for and discover).

Good luck, feel better!
Reply:ned more info to answer that. others have given possibilities ok
Reply:This can happen for various reason. If for your sugar level is low or not eaten for some time panic attack palpitation low or high blood pressure and so on. It is advisable that see your doctor just to make sure nothing serious to worry about. make sure he send your for blood and urine test.
Reply:are you eating properly,as this happens to me if i dont eat breakfast.

I'm 16 year old girl, and I feel like i have a sweating problem. What can I do to not sweat through clothes?

I also use secret as my deodarant, and I have two different kinds and I know was scent, when I sweat, makes me smell, and the other scent doesn't . Why is this? And any suggestions on any other types of deodarants, or if my doctor can do anything about this?
I'm 16 year old girl, and I feel like i have a sweating problem. What can I do to not sweat through clothes?
ask a doctor somtimes they give out perscription deoderants for that. before you try that i might try mens deoderent because they tend to sweat more and there deodernt protects greeat! if you have a lot of money then there is one last thing you could do which would be to get armpit botox! lol it sounds discusting but i garintee you it works. ask your doctor about it! they put botox on the parts on your armpit were you sweat the most and i dont know how they do it but it works. if i were you probabally try mens deoderent first and if that doesent work try asking your doctor about perscription exedera exedera. hope i could help!!! i garentee you one of those will work

to stop armpit sweating you can get botox injections in your armpits then you will never have to wear deoderant.
Reply:I had that problem. try looking for a deodorant/ antiperspirant with aluminum in it. that will clog up the sweat pores.

i recommend secret clinical strength.

You put it on at night and you are sweat free. but when i wake up in the morning i put on secret platinum in a scent that i like so i smell good. i hope i helped

Hyperhidrosis, aka excessive sweating? please help?
try some heavy duty anti-persperants, they can be found at your local drug store.
Reply:botox injections, which actually numb your facial muscles to keep from creating aging wrinkles actually also numb your sweat glands.

if you suffer from excessive sweating in any body area, you can go to a doctor and ask him/her to inject you with botox in that area, and you will sweat less.

the downside is that this botox only works for about 6 months, so you have to keep getting it redone.
Reply:You might have a thyroid problem. It causes hyperhidrosis, vision problems, weight gain. If you have this then see your doctor. He will put you on medication and it will go away.

If not, then try dove deodorant it works really good. Go to the bathroom and wash between your arms so often (embarrasing but it works)

How to prevent sweating(hands and feet)?

Oh I know this one! Use (unscented) antiperspirant spray on them! Depending on how badly you perspire, it will have limited success, but on some people it works well. Also, use drying soaps such as deodorant soaps when you wash. Carry oil absorbant paper with you for emergencies. (or talc powder)
How to prevent sweating(hands and feet)?
I heard they're starting botox shots to prevent sweaty hands and feet

There is a sweating in my hands and feets when i m afraid of something or when i m questioned. what to do?

If the sweat is light, this is normal.

But if the sweat is severe and happens frequently you might have hyperhidrosis.

It's a condition where the skin sweats uncontrolably.

There is no cure for hyperhidrosis. For this condition you can try antipersperants such as Drysol, Megadry, or Maxim.

Talk to your parents about treatments and have a visit to the skin doctor (dermatologist) if possible. This kind of doctor specializes in your problem.

Hope this helps.

Good luck!

What causes excessive sweating in a guy- and is there a remedy?

This poor guy is moping like Louis Armstrong when everyone else is quite comfortable! Could this be a physical problem with a possible treatment? Not extremely attractive- and he is a hunk!
What causes excessive sweating in a guy- and is there a remedy?
well he prob has more sweat glands that everyone else that you know. It's not unusual for some people to sweat more than others. No, i don't think there's a remedy for stopping excessive sweating. You can't just plug the sweat pores up. Besides, it won't be healthy for the guy coz it's stopping his natural sweating cycle. Just make sure he uses deodarant.

idk for sure, but its prob no big deal...prob he just has more sweat glands than a lot of other people. i am not sure if a doc can do anyhting, that is someting he would have to ask his physician.

personally i can do the same exercises at the gym as my friend and I will be sweting through my shirt while he is still dry. i think it is jus a swet gland thing...some just sweat more than others

What causes excessive sweating in adolescent boys?

hormones, exercise, and some people do sweat a Lot.

What causes severe sweating of the arm pit?

Heavy under arm sweat can be caused by several factors.

1) Hyperhidrosis as the first answerer mentioned. This is a medical condition.

2) Psychological reasons. If you get easily embarrased you can sweat more.

3) Physical. For example, overweight people can sweat more because their body tends to get overheated more easily.

I have had great success greatly reducing the sweat caused by all of these using an anti perspirant called Certain Dri, which can be purchased in drug stores.
What causes severe sweating of the arm pit?
A condition called Hyperhidrosis which is when you sweat alot. Or, it may be nerves, heat or physical activity.

I've been sweating more than usual, lately . . .?

And for some reason, girls have been more attracted to me than usual. Is there a chance that something is out of whack with my endocrine system and it's causing my body to produce unusually high amounts of pheromones?
I've been sweating more than usual, lately . . .?
Yes you are correct, Once the endocrine glands begin producing hormones there is a distinctive smell that will be released. However you should keep an eye on this. If you do not use deodorant then the arm pits and crotch can build up the odor which will not be as pleasant. This is not a sign of unusually high amounts of pheromones it is just that it has just began and is working over time to stay in time with the body. exocrine glands is the gland that is producing this smell. the endocrine gland release the hormones into the blood stream.

My toilet is 'sweating'. Why? and What do I do about it?

It is condensation due to the fact that the water in the tank is much colder than the air temperature of the room. You can buy a tank insulation kit that will insulate the water in the toilet tank from the warmer air in the room or you can install a mix valve that uses a combination of hot and cold water to fill your toilet tank so that you can adjust the temperature of the water in the tank to roughly the same temperature as the air temp. I'd try the insualtion kit first as the mix valve can be difficult to install if you don't have a hot water supply line near the toilet.
My toilet is 'sweating'. Why? and What do I do about it?
Tell it to calm down and relax! LOL! It's prbably becuase the room is warmer then the water in the bowl. (sweating)
My toilet is 'sweating'. Why? and What do I do about it?
If you want it to stop, there are a couple of alternatives.

Warm up the water in the toilet. If you were to put a mix of hot and cold water, instead of just cold water, into the toilet.

Reduce the humidity in the air by running a de-humidifier.
Reply:Water is condensing on your toilet which is making it "sweat." Get a dehumidifier and it should stop "sweating."
Reply:Water inside is colder than the air outside. Dehumidifyer
Reply:Toilets sweat in the Winter because the cold water in the bowl is colder that the air in the room, thus the condensation. The only thing you can do to prevent this from happening is heat up the water in the bowl, or turn down the thermostat on your furnace, so that the water and the air in the bathroom are the same temperature.
Reply:because the water in the toliet is cold. or your toliet is cold. and your bathroom is warmer than your toliet. and it makes it sweat.
Reply:The cold water inside causes the moisture in the air to condense on the outside. To fix you have a few choices.

You can install a mixer valve which allows a little warm water in. These are adjustable so when the seasons change you don't have to use as much hot water.

You can also install an insulation kit to the inside of the toilet tank to keep the outside of tank from getting as cold. This may or may not work depending on size of toilet tank and ability to get it to fit right.

You could also use a dehumidifier to get excess moisture out of the air.

Good luck!
Reply:All good advice. Before you install a tempering valve, make certian your jurisdiction will allow one. Many will not (I dont know why). This is the best solution. Keep the humidity between 30% - 50%, this should help. Good luck
Reply:The best thing you can do is get a toilet that has an "insulated tank". This tank will not sweat no matter what

Is shivering and sweating at the same time a sign of pregnancy?

Slept with this girl about 5 days ago and 3 weeks ago.
Is shivering and sweating at the same time a sign of pregnancy?
Strangely enough, that WAS one of my first symptoms. My blood sugar would bottom out (my dr. said it was the hormones) and I would get those same symptoms. It isn't a very likely sign, but it was the reason I went to the dr and found out I was pregnant. I would talk to your doctor though. However, it could just be the flu or hypoglycemia
Is shivering and sweating at the same time a sign of pregnancy?
no it may be fever.
Reply:no its a sign of a cold or flu
Reply:I've never heard of that, but like most will tell you, all pregnancies are different. It just sounds like she has a high fever to me, though.
Reply:no maybe she has the flue or something

She's sick with something.

You know that stuff called 'ban' that you use to keep you from sweating?

are you supposed to use regular deoderant along with it? Are you to use it everyday or just the night before you have a function and you don't want to sweat. Cause I don't think it's healthy not to sweat.
You know that stuff called 'ban' that you use to keep you from sweating?
Ban is a deodorant.

I don't think I've heard of a product that makes you quit sweatting. I don't think it would be healthy, anyway.

I don't know, I use Degree for Men and it works well. I'm sure Degree for Women would work just as well.
Reply:No, Ban is the deodorant. But I don't recommend it-it doesn't really work. I would try Dove. It doesn't stop you from sweating all the way, it just stops you from sweating like a pig.

i sweat a lot all over ... under my arms pit... specialy when i am out clubbing ... the good thing is there's no bad smell.. just lots and lots of water.. a person told me I should drink less water the day i have to go out but i don't think that's a very good idea.. i am not fat i work out i'm 5'11 and 80 kg so around 170 180 pounds.

any ideas ... thanks a lot.
I see the stars on live TV dancing and not sweating AT ALL! how is that possible? anyone?
Hey, I know exactly what you're talking about! it's called hyperhidrosis and i have it too! There's no cure for it, but there is a treatment, and it's called Maxim. You can get it at www.coradhealthcare.com it might seem really expensive at first but think about it this way- it's only $20 to get all your self-confidence back! The website says that a bottle lasts 2-3 months but my first bottle lasted about 9 months. i have been sweat puddle free for about 1 1/2 years!

good-luck, hope i helped!
I see the stars on live TV dancing and not sweating AT ALL! how is that possible? anyone?
Part of the reason why you don't see many stars perspiring is because what you see is 'tv magic' another reason could be that stars do practice and practice constantly until it becomes second nature. For instance, when I worked outside of the home, I had to climb four flights of stairs to get to my office and I would perspire a little and would be out of breath. After a while (about a month or so) I got accustomed to the 'workout' and would breeze up the stairs with no problem and hardly loose my breath.
Reply:Yo. were on the same club! I mean, I am 5'11 and 180 pounds...hehe...I dont sweat when I dance though, and thats what I do for a living, maybe its the average of dancing you do...or its depending on the person.
Reply:no, you should be fine. drinking water is very healthy and unless you're drinking way more than enough, its a bad idea to stop. maybe you should bring an extra shirt or something when you go so you can change after you've started to sweat.

as for the stars, its nearly impossible to just sit under those tv lights and not start sweating. idk how they do it.
Reply:I think there are two explanations. One, the stars may be in better cardiovascular condition so they sweat less. Two, they are sweating, but television does not have high enough resolution to pick it up, plus I'm sure there are make-up and costume tricks to make sweating less obvious.

Not drinking water to avoid sweating is a really bad idea. At best it would be uncomfortable. At worst it could cause heat exhaustion.

Don't sweat it.
Reply:If the venue is air conditioned then there's less chance of sweating.

I am constently sweating from my arm pitts and you can see it through my shirt what could i do to stop it?

if deodorants aren't helping, my guess is that you have hyperhidrosis, which is just the technical term for excessive sweating. try a dermatologist and see if you can get DrySol, a solution you should apply approximately once a week to the affected area (underarms) which will pretty much stop your sweating.
I am constently sweating from my arm pitts and you can see it through my shirt what could i do to stop it?
Seeing a doctor would probably be your best option. There are perscription strength deodorants that you can get, and if that doesn't work then Botox injections can be done under the arms.
I am constently sweating from my arm pitts and you can see it through my shirt what could i do to stop it?
This can happen....and I would think you have tried different things...so it looks like time to go see the doctor!

You may need small operation, to stop this...But! it does work...
Reply:You can't really, the only way is to to remove all hairs there. Hair's cause odours and sweat a bit more.
Reply:Do you wear clothes that make you sweat? Try wearing a light shirt under your clothes. Go see a doctor to make sure nothing serious is going on.
Reply:Use an anti-perspirant. It will help to reduce sweating. Drysol is one that come to mind.

A deodorant will only mask the sweaty smell.
Reply:I used to deal with the same problem.. here are some tips that helped me out.

1. where loose fitting shirts around your arm pits

2. sleep in a tank top ( it lets your skin breathe)

3. Change your deoderant to an anti persprant like Secret Platnium.

4. Don't use a deoderant with moisturizer in it, it can cause a rash and cause you to sweat more.

5. Don't use a deoderant that has a strong scent to it like berries, floral and such, just stick to baby or fresh scent.

6. if none of those work try consulting your doctor, you make have over active sweat glands.
Reply:Don't wear shirt.......
Reply:You may have over active sweat glands like me. I find it is often stress related. I would not do anything as drastic as botox but a doctor may be able to help. While the condition is embarrassing and at times visible it is not life threatening. It may be as simple as changing the material your clothes are made of. Worked for me and not only did i sweat enough to fill a pool it stank terribly. I still get it now and then but usually when I'm nervous. If your life circumstances have changed that's the first area to check. However at the end of the day, when worried see a doctor.

Depends on how old you are. Could be menopause

Maybe age? If you are over 30 sometimes hormones change. Try Certain Dry roll on. It works great, you apply it at night before bed.

Are you suffering from a lot of anxiety? This may seem obvious, but is your room cool enough? I have to sleep in an almost frozen room to be able to snuggle up and sleep. I've suffered from 'night sweats' from time to time, and still not sure what caused it, maybe my body fighting a virus of some kind. Good luck.

Menopause, but I don't think that's your problem.

hard telling but how do you know your profuseing sweating if your asleep anyway?
Reply:you probably have too many blankets, your house is yoo hot, or you are going through menopause. Otherwise you are having nightmares then forgetting. My advise for anything accept menopause: open a window, use less blankets, or read/watch tv while falling asleep. It calms the mind. For a tv, press the SLEEP button on your remote control a few times so it will turn off after you fall asleep.

How to stop sweating on the face?

I had serious problems of sweating when in tough job assessment centres, .... oh yeah and in most places e.g. train, tube.. and I didnt like it a bit.

The best remedy I found was drinking sage tea! It really works, and tastes pretty nice. Works pretty fast, have it in the mornings and afternoon. Also pop in some zinc tablets when you have a sweating attack.

How to stop sweating naturally?

Sweating is a physiological mechanism used to control body heat. The number of sweat glands varies from person to person and has a genetic basis. They are most numerous in the armpits, groin and feet. Many people often have sweat problems confined to their armpits or hands. Some types of sweat are normal. Gustatory sweating is a good example. I love hot and sour soup, but to consume it I have to put up with the resulting excessive facial sweating. The spices interact with the autonomic nervous system to produce the gustatory sweating. Excessive sweating of any kind is called hyperhidrosis. Hormones can interact with sweat glands to make them active especially in adolescents. Sweat glands have also been implicated in being able to secrete other substances such as sex pheromones. Yet other substances in sweat can react with the bacteria normally found in the armpit. This reaction in turn can produce an unpleasant odor. Interestingly, due to genetic variation in smell capability, different people may perceive body odor in different ways.

The key to control sweat and unpleasant odors starts with regular bathing with an unscented soap. Trimming of hair in these areas also helps. Wearing cotton under-garments helps to absorb the sweat. Cotton is particularly good at helping sweat evaporate. The cooler you remain, the less sweat you generate. Application of an absorbing agent such as baby powder is another strategy. Be sure that you differentiate between a deodorant and the more expensive antiperspirant. Deodorants will simply mask any odor and have no effect on decreasing sweat. Antiperspirants such as Aluminium Chlorohydrate are chemicals which irritate the sweat glands’ openings making them narrower and less able to produce sweat. Zirconium is the other chemical used in these products. Deodorant aisles are filled with products touting claims that confuse me. Non-specific labels like “Maximum Protection” have little meaning. Protection from what, one may ask? Odor? Sweat? Drivers who don’t signal. You just can’t tell. Simpler measures such as blow drying sweat prone areas after bathing will help reduce bacterial counts. Most people suffering hyperhidrosis are not concerned until body odor becomes the more dominant problem.

A sudden change in sweat production can signal other problems. These can range from damage to the autonomic nerves controlling the sweat pores to various hormonal disorders and obesity. A full investigation is warranted in these cases.

More recently, Botulism Toxin injections have been introduced as a means of controlling hyperhidrosis for months at a time. This fix works, but is both expensive and temporary. A more radical approach is used in the U.S. involving surgery. The procedure is called Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy (ETS). It involves severing the nerves controlling the hyperactive sweat glands. In the hot humid climates, hyperhidrosis becomes a more bothersome problem.

Reply:I can't explain how, here, but mind control works -- controlling your breathing pattern.

When I moved south, I drank hot beverages while indoors, thinking it would provide my body with tolerance of the heat while outside. I believe it worked.

I also realized that, at the end of a shower, if you turn the water to cool (as cool as you can stand it) and totally cool your body off, you stay cool(er) for up to 45 minutes longer (outside) than if you don't cool down at the end of a shower. This works, of course, if you are going outside soon after the shower.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Peace.

How do i stop my hands from sweating?

i'm 14, and it's at the point which is embarrassing. i'm in a play and i have to like hold people's hands... and it's hard to like this!

is there any medication i can take?
How do i stop my hands from sweating?
I don't know about medication, but I used to have SWEATY hands and they were ice cold, too. I got into a car accident, and had to go to massage and chiropractic therapy. I think the massage therapy really put my body back into alignment, because the embarrassing problem went away and it's been several years, without coming back. Good Luck to you!
How do i stop my hands from sweating?
Yes, it is called Drysol (aluminum chloride hexahydrate 20%). It costs $15 to $20 and is available without a prescription. You can even buy it online. It works very well.
Reply:Buy a deodorant high in aluminum chloride and apply it to your hands. Aluminum Chloride is the active ingredient that blocks sweat pores.

I couldnt help notice the batsmans wer sweating into there hemet and evry now and then they had to empty them?

they literately poured out the water from there helmets

couldnt they make a more aerated helmet or just a steel wired open grill type helmet
I couldnt help notice the batsmans wer sweating into there hemet and evry now and then they had to empty them?
they need the helmet so that if the ball comes to the head it hits the helmet and not the head. yes, they can make a more open helmet but maybe that has not been invented yet.
I couldnt help notice the batsmans wer sweating into there hemet and evry now and then they had to empty them?
Helmets are for protection primarily so has to be steel and with all the running a batsman has to do sweating is so obvious well man some sweat for your country is worth
Reply:The batsmen need those helmets for protection. And anyways they have been playing for like 2-3 hours each and i really think its impossible to not sweat during that time.

Hope this helps!
Reply:hhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Reply:Well, when a leather ball is hurled at you at around 150km/ph, you don't want to use a weaker, just normal grille just to stop sweating. It looks pretty weird, but it's for their protection.

Reply:Not being gross is the only treatment.
Reply:Hyperhydrosis is usually what that's called, only your doctor can diagnose that though. There is a prescription that treats that, and it's pretty cheap,it's called aluminum chloride, there are also other names for it..like hypercare or xerac....but aluminum chloride is the active ingredient. It comes in a bottle and is a roll on, it's prescribed a lot for wrestlers, high schoolers in sports and stuff, it keeps them from sweating so much.

Whats a good underarm deodorant for excessive sweating. i sweat alot from the pits!?

Try to find a specialty deodorant with the ingredient "aluminum chloride". When I was younger I asked my doctor who prescribed "Drysol" which worked well. Just be aware that some people are sensitive to aluminum chloride (like me), which means at first if you put on too much or have it on your skin for too long it can be very itchy and painful with a rash. BUT it does go away the more you use it and it does really help, although you should use a regular deodorant during the day.

there is a good chance ur sweating out ur fever good luck feel better:)
Reply:Your body raises its own temperature to make it inhospitable to the flu virus that it's trying to get rid of. Getting a fever and sweating are good things as long as the fever doesn't get too high (104F or 40C is too high). It just means that your body is doing its job and fighting off the virus. When you take fever-reducing medicines, it actually slows down the healing process. You shouldn't take them unless you absolutely have to.

Drink lots of water/juice (to flush out the germs) and get lots of sleep. Hope you feel better soon.
Reply:First off, it's spelled flu. And secondly, your body sweats to cool down if you have a fever, also to flush out any toxins.

After playing sports (sweating) my face becomes dry...?
salt on the skin? idk but it happens to me too when i had bad skin. just remember, wash your face after you work out but if you had washed your face earlier in the day don't do it again later. put on lotion twice a day, even if you think its going to make it oilier...it won't becuase it will hydrate your skin enough where it wont produce as much oil. i learned this a year ago and my skin has improved so much with out usuing medication.

What causes excessive sweating especially i under the arms and forehead?

Hi there--Extreme sweating (hyperhidrosis) can be treated by a dermatologist. But keep in mind that you want to first determine if you are sweating excessively as a result of an underlying medical condition or as a side effect of medication you are taking (anti-depressants are big sweat producers).

If you have "primary" hyperhidrosis then that means that your sweatiness is causesd simply by the medical condition--hyperhidrosis--and not as a result of something else. In that case, there are new and effective treatments out there, so you really don't need to deal with this all by yourself. If you go to the International Hyperhidrosis Society's web site wwwSweatHelp.org you can learn all about the condition (which, by the way affects 176 million people world wide, and is thought to be genetic), and the treatment choices you have. You can also find a doc there that is familair with HH plus subscribe to a newsletter that will let you know when there are new developments, and/or how to get free stuff.

To treat underarm and face HH you basically have these options:

1.) Strong anti-perspirants like Secret Clinical Strength (used RIGHT makes all the difference. Check out the IHHS site for tips)

2.) Botox (lasts for at least 6 months and insurance often pays.)

3.) Combination of the above for the best (and most cost effective) plan for you.

Don't consider surgery because of the crazy risks associated with it like compensatory sweating (massive sweating on large parts of your body) plus other complications that are way too common for my comfort level. And don't believe the hype that it's reversible. There have been no reported, published cases of reversals being successful.

If you're a teen, contact support@SweatHelp.org and ask for their Teen Sweat book, they will send it to you free. It has great info and how-tos to make excessive sweat a thing of the past. Remember, there are no cures--YET. But there are good options to manage the sweatiness so you can live your life more fully. Good luck fellow sweater!

paracetamol reduces a temperature so you will be losing heat through sweating.
