Symptoms-dizziness,sweating,vo... shoot,.they say it is vertigo but i doubtit.....please help?

Yes, sounds like everything that I go through with the Meneries Disease....a form of vertigo.

Have they given you some Meclizine (Dramamine II) to help settle it down?

When balance is impaired, an individual has difficulty maintaining orientation. For example, an individual may experience the "room spinning" and may not be able to walk without staggering, or may not even be able to arise. Some of the symptoms a person with a balance disorder may experience are:

*A sensation of dizziness or vertigo (spinning).

*Falling or a feeling of falling.

*Lightheadedness or feeling woozy.

*Visual blurring.

*Disorientation.

Some individuals may also experience nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, faintness, changes in heart rate and blood pressure, fear, anxiety, or panic. Some reactions to the symptoms are fatigue, depression, and decreased concentration. The symptoms may appear and disappear over short time periods or may last for a longer period of time.
Symptoms-dizziness,sweating,vo... shoot,.they say it is vertigo but i doubtit.....please help?
You could be having panic attacks?

Also, do you get it when changing positions, or does any certain action trigger the symptoms?
Symptoms-dizziness,sweating,vo... shoot,.they say it is vertigo but i doubtit.....please help?
I'm medically intuitive and I tend to agree with the vertigo diagnosis. Do you also feel sick to your stomach?
Reply:Vertigo is just another symptom. It's not a diagnosis.

Are we sweating when we swim?

Yes, if our body temperature rises we do indeed sweat while we swim.
Are we sweating when we swim?
yes..it is important to keep hydrated while doing any sport.
Are we sweating when we swim?
Only if our body temp is high enough because sweating is designed to keep us cool

Is angiotensin11 blockers good for excessive sweating?

NO. ARBs are indicated for hypertension and renal failure in patients who have adverse reactions to ACE inhibitors and they are expensive.

I heard sweating a lot helps with acne (?

and of coursse washing your face afterwards)

i heard it spills out all the toxins

you get bettter skin?
I heard sweating a lot helps with acne (?
No sweat is mostly what causes it isn't it
I heard sweating a lot helps with acne (?
Yeah, that's what I heard.

And surprisingly, it worked for me. It lets out all your toxins, is what my mum and brother told me.
Reply:That is not true; sweat is not good or bad it just makes your skin gross just wash your face. Sweat does make your skin softer though that is why your arm pits are soft.
Reply:I don't really think this is true. Even if you did sweat and then go wash your face, you would still have some small amount of bacteria and dirt from the sweat in your pores. Your best bet if you are going to work out or be doing something that would actually cause you to sweat would be to not wear oil-based makeups/ moisturizers and such and immediately after your workout, rinse with semi-hot/warm water to open up your pores to help release when you wash. I personally use Clinque's Acne Solutions line--%26gt; it has worked 20 times better than ProActiv on me. Hope this helps!
Reply:Yeah that's true. I don't sweat alot. I only sweat under my armpits. You can always boil some hot water and drink it. That burns all the toxins in your body. good luck

Can anyone help? My b/f suffers from excess sweating under the armpits area.?

He has tried deodrants which are applied at night and removed in the morning, but nothing works! There is no BO from him, just excessive sweat, I have tried to get him to go to the doctors, but he is too embarrased, any help much appreciated? Thankx
Can anyone help? My b/f suffers from excess sweating under the armpits area.?
There may be an option of botox injections, available from cosmetic clinics. Or see below for an electronic device that is said to work for most people.
Can anyone help? My b/f suffers from excess sweating under the armpits area.?
Botox injections stop sweating.
Reply:haha dunno try rapping him in toilet roll like a mummy!!
Reply:there is surgery , sweat glands are "de activated " for the want of a better word
Reply:There are prescription medications that can help him, but he would need to see a doctor. Excessive sweating is a common complaint and easily dealt with.
Reply:Tell him to go to the doctors. Bribe him if you have to. There's no reason to be embarrassed. Doctors have seen everything and excessive sweating is not uncommon.
Reply:when you said you deodrant do you mean anti-persirant

only anti perspirant reduces sweating, normal deodrants don't
Reply:Make sure the deodorants he is trying has anti-persprent in it. That's what stops the sweat. If not, try to get him to go to the doctor, they go have great stuff that can stop this problem for him. Good Luck.
Reply:I used to also, a miracle product my gf found for me is called CertainDry. You can get it at WalGreens or where ever you do your shopping. It's about $5 a bottle, put on after the shower and before bed so it can soak in all night and he'll be dry as a bone. I used to have pit marks down my sides and they are completely gone now, complete miracle!!
Reply:is that the guy in the guy in the Lynx advert with the kippers in his arms?
Reply:Hey, no sweat.

Tape sponges under his pits and wring 'em out every couple hours.
Reply:I find the Clinique Antiperspirant stick is good. Not cheap at a tenner, but good.

There's also dietary solutions - stay away from caffeine - it stimulates sweating.
Reply:Try Mitcham roll-on, around 拢2.60 from the supermarket - it worked for me in a heatwave (and everyone else I've recommended it to!) ;-)

If it doesn't work for the boyf, go with him to the doctor... he may feel less embarrassed telling the doctor if you are there.

Is mild sweating during sleep a cause for alarm?

Not every night, but sometimes I wake up with a damp chest. I don't think it is normal, but my doctor didn't seem concerned. Opinions?
Is mild sweating during sleep a cause for alarm?
This is EXACTLY what I go through. Let me guess; you can't fall asleep in a cold room, and when you lay down, your "up" side gets cold, and your "down" side is comfy, so you have to roll over to even out the temps. When you wake up, you don't feel hot, but your chest is soaked in sweat. Within seconds of waking, you all of a sudden feel like you're melting and the covers get tossed. Sound about right? If so, it's nothing to worry about, believe it or not. You have low blood pressure during sleep. Your chest is sweating because the heat from your organs doesn't get circulated properly, yet you have enough circulation for oxygen distribution, etc. If the above scenario fits you, the reason for the sweltering heat upon waking is because your body produces adrenaline, which kicks your blood pressure up to the normal range, and the torso heat is instantly distributed.

To put your mind at ease, you could talk to the doc about monitoring your oxygen levels and blood pressure while sleeping, either with a machine at home or at a sleep lab.

I hope this helps. It's kind of weird, but I'd much rather have low blood pressure than high with the risk of heart disease associated with it. Good luck and Blessings
Is mild sweating during sleep a cause for alarm?
Yes, that happened to me not 6 years ago and it turned out I had pneumonia a few weeks later. Although your case may be different... I suggest you try to be cautious and ask your doctor more questions you feel need to be answered.

EDIT: Here, this might help you, even if just by a little:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_hyper...

According to this it may be nothing, but I was looking through the page of pneumonia and it said that this kind of sweating is a symptom.
Reply:I sometimes wake up soaked. I'm normal. I have never thought twice about it. I get clean sheets more often for it. Everyone loves sleeping on fresh sheets.
Reply:When you have a low grade infection, the body wants to get a little warmer so the white blood cells can work faster. Any other symptoms? if you have any respiratory problems, I recomend a cool mist humidifier, to which you add a pint of hydrogen peroxide to the gallon of water. Run that while you sleep.
Reply:It's nothing to be sweating in sleep. In fact, sweating is good, it releases stress. I sweat during sleep often too. Nothing too much to be alarming. But during your next doctor visit, clarify with him/her.
Reply:Many things can cause night sweats...

Change in hormones, overheated bedroom, too many covers, breaking a fever. Not unless it becomes invasive and uncontrollable, don't worry. I think the doc isn't concerned because it's not an everyday event.

Sleep well.
Reply:If your doctor isn't concerned, it's probably nothing to worry about. If one were to experience this every night, and it was more than just a slight dampness, it'd be called "night sweats" and would be something the doctor would investigate further - night sweats are among the symptoms of pulmonary tuberculosis - TB. That also might be caused by a glandular malfunction, or by what is known as "sleep apnea". Diabetics often experience this sort of discomfort, too. But taken by itsself, your symptom really does not appear to indicate anything serious going on. Keep a hand towel by your bed and use it when you awaken in the morning - or take your shower in the morning rather than in the evening. You'll start the day off feeling and smelling nice and fresh, and that can't help but get you off to a better rest of the day.

Do lunges, squats..lay on side and do leg lifts for your hips and thighs,

kneel on all fours (hands and knees) bring left leg up toward chest , curling head down, then while lifting head straight again , stretch leg back behind you, then to starting position..repeat with other leg. x 12 for your ***** also, when you can, as many times as you can for as long as you can, squeeze your inner thighs and **** inwards, hold then repeat *

Why is sweating good for you?

Sweating performs many functions. First, it helps cool you when you overheat. Without sweating, it would be much easier to go into heat stroke. Sweating also helps keep pores clear. Unlike what the other poster said, it isn't a help in losing weight. Water weight fluctuates wildly in a day and the little bit you lose in sweat will just come back after you drink.
Why is sweating good for you?
It helps to loose weight cause you sweat out your water weight (which is just extra weight that you can only sweat or pee out)
Why is sweating good for you?
helps regulate body temp
Reply:Sweating is good because it lets your body cool down, and without sweating, your body would have no way to cool down. Hope I answered your question!!
Reply:Sweating cools you down when you're hot

How does sweating affect your body temperature?

It lowers body temperature when sweat evaporates, since conversion of liquid water to gaseous form takes energy. Wind helps too.
How does sweating affect your body temperature?

Reply:it supposed to help cool your body down.
Reply:It's is your body's natural method of reducing your body's temperature quickly, however it can also be caused by nervousness, illness, drug withdrawal, and anxiety. Excessive sweating can have serious concesquesences such as body odor, Primary hyperhidrosis (too much sweating to regulate the body temperature), Hidradenitis suppurativa (a skin disease found in the sweat glands)

I keep sweating when i eat. i eat well and look after my body.?

stop eating hot foods in the summer?

xoxoxo
I keep sweating when i eat. i eat well and look after my body.?
and your question is?????????? most overweight people sweat alot, any activity makes their bodies work harder--r u asking why you sweat so much?
I keep sweating when i eat. i eat well and look after my body.?
Stop eating red meat and pork or as much as you can. Stop eating anything that either comes with extra salt or add salt to it. Stop eating anything that comes with extra sugar like soda. Start eating more organic fruits and vegetables. Salts retain body water, so when you exercise you sweat and it smells of salt too. Excess sugars screw up your liver and kidneys which in turn cause the buildup of excess salts.

Dizziness with sweating and on occasion loss of consciousness?

well my dad has had a stroke, many years ago, he has diabetes, high blood pressure + hardening of the arteries and emphysema. since xmas he has been suffering with dizzy spells. we have checked his sugar level and this is not the problem. we have checked out his medication to make sure he isn麓t mixing the wrong ones. his doctor says he has vertigo, but i feel soemthing isn麓t right. the attacks can happen anytime of the day. could someone give any advice? what role does uric acid have? could it be something as simple as anaemia? and how can a dopplar test help?
Dizziness with sweating and on occasion loss of consciousness?
Doppler test has to do with his hearing, balance, dizziness and hearing all work together.

If he has high blood pressure, it might be a good idea to have a home blood pressure kit, to test it whenever he feels dizzy that can be a sign of elevated blood pressure as well.

Uric acid can build up in the blood stream and testing for elevated levels can signify the presence of kidney problems.
Dizziness with sweating and on occasion loss of consciousness?
Dizziness and sweating usually preceed a loss of consiousness. Vertigo, on the other hand, is not accompanied by sweating or loss of conciousness; instead, vertigo is characterized by dizziness (usually with a change in position or rapid turn of the head) and nystagmus (rapidly alternating eyemovements). Truthfully, vertigo itself is not a diagnosis, but a symptom. Most physicians use it incorrectly when they are referring to an inner ear problem (either Minnere's disease or BPPV).

He may be experiencing hypotension (a drop in blood pressure)...either way, he needs to have a doctor evaluate him to make sure this is not cardiac related.
Reply:My Aunt just went through this also and her Dr. told her it was vertigo. She also had alot of vomiting with hers
Reply:TRY THE NEAREST ER.
Reply:Vertigo is usually caused by an inner ear infection. ...Because this area is so small, antibiotics usually do not help...It takes several months to get over it.

...If the GP thinks it might be caused by clogged vessels, then you may want to a vascular doc to see if he may need to have his caratid arteries unclogged...it is a surgery that docs due to help prevent a stroke.

...a doppler test usually can help test the amount of vessel clogging...

...Anemia can cause dizziness, but this is easily diagnosed by simple bloodwork.

...Uric acid elevation test usually done to rule out Gout. Gout causes your joints to swell and hurt. It can also be elvated if you are chronically dehydrated. Make sure your father drinks plenty of water.
Reply:many older people get vertigo from improper diet and yes that can lead to anemia and many other heath problems that you mentioned i would look into checking out what dear ol dad is eating
Reply:I AM NO DOCTOR, but the answer your physician gave about lack of oxygen to the brain sounds right.........if he has emphysema why isn't he on an inhaler or oxygen? Yes, it can be serious because when a person doesn't have enough oxygen running through it puts great stress on the heart and other organs........I had a dopplar test several times to check the arteries in the neck to check for blockage.....good luck.....

There is no truly "safe" anti perspirant, but thats your choice to make.

Can exessive sweating cause sores on your penis, this is not a joke?
Yes, it's not the sweating but the moisture not being able to evaporate. It's best to have it checked by a doctor, though, just in case it's something else. I would imagine the doc will suggest letting air get to the area and possibly treating it with some sort of oitment.

But i would have them checked out by a Doc.. better safe than sorry..

How can i keep my hands and feet from sweating so much?

i have this weird problem where my hands and feet sweat ALOT! and i don't know what to do! i can't shake peoples hands and i can't even hold a pencil in school! what should i do??
How can i keep my hands and feet from sweating so much?
I used to sweat on my hands, feet, and underarms for no reason. For the sweating, get the antiperspirant Certain Dri. You will never sweat from your underarms or hands. Has no smell. Has no residue so it does not stain your clothes at all. It is a roll on you can get at any drug store in the anti-perspirant section. You put it on at night. Go to sleep. Wake up and take a shower. The residue of the anti-perspirant is gone, but you don't sweat or smell at all for a couple of days. And when I say you don't sweat or smell I mean it. Hands, feet, and underarms are all dry.

If the Certain Dri does not work or you want to try some other things below is a link to a number of other anti-perspirant solutions. Just please avoid surgery, there are way to many people who have been disabled by the surgery to try and reduce sweating.

Sudden Weakness...Sweating...and Nausea?

Right now i'm home from work for the next 3 days due to an injury...(see other posts) anyways as you know if you read my other posts...the other day i fell down a flight of wooden stairs and had to go to the ER...right now i have on 3 diff meds for pain and swelling...percocet, robaxin and naproxen...anyways about a good 20 mins ago i was standing up and almost nearly fell over...i got extremely weak to the point where i could hardly stand...i then started getting Nausea to the point of gagging and nearly throwing up...my entire body then got really hot and sweaty...i basically might be coming down with something on top of my injuries...has anyone ever had this happen to then? It passed as quickly as it came but i still sorta feel weak in the legs and such now....Could this be from my bad fall or the meds that i am on because of it? or am i just coming down with the flu on top of my nasty fall?
Sudden Weakness...Sweating...and Nausea?
the 3 meds your on, percocet being an opiate pain killer, robaxin being a skeletal muscle relaxer and naproxen being an NSAID all lower your blood pressure considerably. If you went from sitting to standing you may have just had a bad case of orthostatic hypotension...basically when you sit down your blood pressure is one thing and when you stand up it drops for a minute before it raises back up to it's normal level and that sudden drop can make you extremely light headed and all the meds your on may have made it more severe than it would ever normally be. if it persists pretty bad then you might wanna get checked to make sure you dont have something else.
Sudden Weakness...Sweating...and Nausea?
i am a nursing student and i looked your meds up in my drug book and both the robaxin and percocet can cause dizziness, light-headedness and also hypotension, which is dizziness and light-headedness when standing, also both can cause nausea, try taking meds with a small snack, if vomiting gets worse, you should probably report to your dr. thanks, hope this helped!
Reply:Sound like all the drugs you are on...I can't even take one of those meds without feeling that way

You getting hot/sweaty and weak is what happens to your body before you vomit or pass out.........

Is over-sweating is a symptom of desease?

It can be, but most likely no if you have always been that way. If this is new, and you have other symptoms, then talk to a doctor.
Is over-sweating is a symptom of desease?
no just fast metabolism
Is over-sweating is a symptom of desease?
It could be. Sometimes the body works up a fever trying to burn out the disease, but it doesn't sound like that from your question. It could be stress or too much body-weight to carry around.
Reply:Ali do you overweigh?

Well, I would advice you to see a doctor.
Reply:Salty sweat or sweating while sleeping may be associated with cystic fibrosis. If your question concerns an infant or young child, I would ask your doctor about CF as a possible cause.

not gushing open sores, but small red marks that are slightly painful when touched, and what can i do?
Can exessive sweating cause sores on your penis, this is not a joke?
Yes, it's not the sweating but the moisture not being able to evaporate. It's best to have it checked by a doctor, though, just in case it's something else. I would imagine the doc will suggest letting air get to the area and possibly treating it with some sort of oitment.
Can exessive sweating cause sores on your penis, this is not a joke?
These are probably just zits, yes you can get them there too.

But i would have them checked out by a Doc.. better safe than sorry..

That burns all the toxins in your body. good luck

I was sweating like a pig last night in bed, it was bloody warm. anyone else had trouble sleeping? I mean?

I woke up with the sheets and pillows dripping wet, I had to get up during the night to get a can of Tizer. I really hope it cools down soon, I even took my Y fronts off. it was that warm.

Unlike humans pigs don't have sweat glands covering almost the entirety of their bodies, they only have a few.

They cool off more by basking in mud %26amp; shallow puddles etc

So last night you were sweating like a human !

Doesn't sound the same I agree but closer to the truth ! :-)
Reply:First, is that your real pic? If yes, you are obviously obese and you may be suffering from metabolism disorder syndrome. Perfusing heavily at night might be caused by your abnormal metabolic process where digestion and burning of fats is still going on and in your case, very excessive. What you can do is to consult a doctor and go for a thorough checkup, especially your heart because at your age and by looking at your pic, you are the almost perfect candidate for all heart diseases. It may be your heart that causes the perfusion, or any other system that goes haywire. A normal person will never wet the bed at night with sweat, unless you're having a fever or the weather is extremely warm. Either way, i recommend you to consult a doctor. Hope this helps.

What can i do for my sweating palm pls help? I cann't control my sweating palm i cann't worlk properly.

I tell you to get Certain Dri. You will never sweat from your hands. Has no smell. Has no residue so it does not stain anything you touch. It is a roll on you can get at any drug store in the anti-perspirant section. You put it on at night. Go to sleep. Wake up and take a shower. The residue of the anti-perspirant is gone, but you don't sweat for a couple of days. It won't affect your ability to work at all.

try to rub some goldbond powder on them and if that does not work try some lotion
Reply:You might have what's called hyperhydrosis, i would post his in the medical section.
Reply:A friend of mine had this exact problem and he went to talk to a dermatologist. He ended up having a minor surgery in which they snipped a nerve in his armpit that controled the sweaty palms. He said it changed his life and he's no longer embarassed to shake hands and feels more comfortable in business and social settings. Find a doctor near you and it should be a correctable problem. Insurance may cover it, depending upon the severity. It can be a little expensive but, from what I hear, it's totally worth it. Best of luck.

I keep sweating and this has just happened in the last couple of months, what could cause this?

This could also be very simple, related to caffeine intake or other stimulants, or a higher stress or anxiety level. Look for ways in which your eating habits and/or lifestyle have changed since the sweating began. These may be the culprit.
I keep sweating and this has just happened in the last couple of months, what could cause this?
You don't say how old you are - hot flashes due to menopause.

Reply:You didn't say your age, so could be peri-menopause but also if you are on any anti-depressants they could cause sweating as a side effect. Have you started new meds within the past 6 months?
Reply:I don't know your age,but if you are of menopause age my doctor recommend taking [ Black Coho sh Root]. I would certainly check with your doctor first.there are tests he could do to see how your hormone level is.

Does Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis) - Ever wear off ?

It depends on what is causing it. If you have had a spinal injury.......no.
Does Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis) - Ever wear off ?
If you are a teenager then almost certainly it will in the meantime try to wear natural materials - not nylon or man made fibres - cottons are cooling.

If you are having particular trouble with your feet try to wear cotton rich socks and leather shoes. A good way of reducing foot odour which comes with hyperhidrosis is to use a diluted form of surgical spirit and wipe daily especially between the toes, however if you have any cracks or splits on the feet and between the toes use a cream to heal and then use surgical spirit diluted, daily to start with then at least three times a week.
Does Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis) - Ever wear off ?
No. Sometimes it is hormonal and can fluctuate through different periods of your life but for the most part, hyperhidrosis is a permanent condition.

Your Somatic nervous system is causing the hyperactivity of sweat glands. It's that cut and dry. There are natural remedies though.

How does sweating mechanism mainatin or balance the body temperature?

The release of moisture cools the skin. Should you need to warm up rather than cool down, then instruct your body to shiver.
How does sweating mechanism mainatin or balance the body temperature?
In humans, sweating is primarily a means of thermoregulation, although it has been proposed that components of male sweat can act as pheromonal cues .Evaporation of sweat from the skin surface has a cooling effect due to the latent heat of evaporation of water. Hence, in hot weather, or when the individual's muscles heat up due to exertion, more sweat is produced. Sweating is increased by nervousness and nausea and decreased by cold.
How does sweating mechanism mainatin or balance the body temperature?
if the body's too hot, the sweating mechanism will release sweat too cool down the body temperature.

if the body's too cold, it will shiver too produce heat and maintain body temperature

Why is sweating an important physiological process in controlling body temperature?

It is a scientific law that the surface from which any liquid evaporates is cooled. When you are exerting physical effort, you become heated. Then you sweat. The sweat evaporates, leaving your skin cooled. The amount of humidity combined the the speed of the wind determine the rate at which your sweat evaporates. The faster your sweat evaporates, the faster you are cooled. So if you are engaged in hard physical activity in a very humid environment where there is little wind, your sweat will be slow to evaporate, you will experience a very slow rate of cooling, and you may experience heat exhaustion. Of course, the opposite is also true.
Why is sweating an important physiological process in controlling body temperature?
its our built in AC
Why is sweating an important physiological process in controlling body temperature?
It allows the body to cool off and maintain its regular working temperature of around 36.9 centigrade. The hotter we get, the redder we get - blood is circulating more than need be. We'd overheat with the consequential exposure to blood vessels, arteries, etc enlarging to dangerous proportions.
Reply:When the body temperature rises, the hypothalamus gland detects the rise and a number of changes take place to try and decrease the temperature.

One of these is the glands all over the body produce sweat. This evaporates off the skin and, as it takes energy to evaporate, it cools the surface. This is known as the latent heat of vapourisation, whereby evaporation from a surface leaves the surface cooler than it was previously.

However, the body also has other features: The hairs all lie flat on the surface and the blood vessels below the surface dilate and allow blood to flow close to the skin to cool it.

Hope this was helpful :)
Reply:Because, when water evaporates, it cools the surface it was in.
Reply:When you sweat droplets of a salt/water solution form on your skin. This effectively increases the surface area of your body enabling heat to be dispersed more quickly. Especially if a breeze is present.

I always sweat a lot in the armpits and it gets really emberrising. Im really fit and young so i dont think being out of shape is the issue
Does anyone have a good way to stop bad sweating in the armpits, deoderent just doesn't work for me?
if you have hyper sweat glands, Botox might work. Dermetologist and plastic surgeons have found out that injecting Botox into very sweaty areas will stop, or slow down the sweating for about 6 months.
Does anyone have a good way to stop bad sweating in the armpits, deoderent just doesn't work for me?
Don't use a deoderant, use an anti-perspirant. I am not sure how old you are, but try Mitchum. I started using it when I was a teenager going through the hormonal change. It was the ONLY thing that worked and I still use it now.
Reply:Antiperspirant

Reply:I don't think so. Never heard of that....
Reply:I say so because nw that i am more acti=ve my bald head isnt bald!
Reply:No, I really dont think so... Just brush it and keep it pulled back into a pony tail. That will help it grow.
Reply:It's the mositure that makes hair grow. Ever been to the Carribean Islands? The women have beautiful hair there. It's the mositure.
Reply:It would not make your hair grow faster.Sweating increases the amount of fat you burn. All sweating will do is make your hair greasy. If you want your hair to grow faster, then try cutting the very tips of your hair because this gets rid of the dead parts of your hair and encourage your hair to grow.
Reply:doubt it
Reply:No, I have seen many bald men who sweat profusely.
Reply:yah
Reply:I don't see why sweat would make your hair grow faster.
Reply:No
Reply:I have not read any research in which states that sweating can cause hair growth or make it grow faster.
Reply:Unfortunately hair will NOT grow faster from exercising. Hair grows on an average rate, no matter what you do, ans some of us have a slower/higher rate. There is nothing you can do but to be patient and not to trim too much of split ends(about every 6-8 weeks).
Reply:Prenatal vitamins make your hair and nails grow faster. They also make you healthier and give you lots of energy because you feel better.
Reply:Sweating in your hair will probably make it a little healthier because of the oils but it wont make your hair grow any faster. Your hair follicals are in your scalp so to make the hair grow faster you just need treat from within, eat right and stay healthy! Taking vitamin B will also help.

I'm sweating but I haven't been working out. what is it?

You are burning a lot of calories. When you sweat, that means you're burning alot.
I'm sweating but I haven't been working out. what is it?
Maybe you are coming down with the flu.
I'm sweating but I haven't been working out. what is it?
Turn down the heat. maybe you are nervous as well.
Reply:are u too fat?? has it always been like this?? go see your doctor not they yahoo answers website as sweating isn't always good for you.
Reply:I don't know your age but if you are in your 40's, this is an early sign of menopause.

If you are young, you probably have your thermostat up too high. Your body weight has little to do with your sweating. Some people just sweat more than others. I used to soak my clothing when I was working out and I was not fat.

Other reason could be a form of diabetes. People with diabetes will start sweating when their blood sugar level starts dropping really low.

If this continues without reason, see your doctor to get tested.
Reply:I think it might be that you are nervous- or you are feeling guilty for doing something that you know is wrong. Or it is really humid and hot.
Reply:If your blood pressure goes up it can cause you to start sweating. If this continues, it would be wise to consult a physician.

Am I still burning calories when exercising and not sweating a lot?

I just dont sweat a lot for some reason no matter what I am doing.
Am I still burning calories when exercising and not sweating a lot?
Lucky you.
Am I still burning calories when exercising and not sweating a lot?
Yes you are, you are burning calories when you are sitting at your desk. The best way to tell is your heart rate, if you heart rate is elevted, while doing a sustained exersice, yes you are burning calories.
Reply:yeah
Reply:Girl thats a a good thing. The most important part in exercising is your heart.. speed up slow it down etc keep going back and forth.... doesnt matter hwo much you sweat- hell i wish i was in ur shoes lol.. but make sure you are giving yourself a good workout
Reply:Yes. I mean, I don't sweat all that much either! Some people just aren't sweaty during exercising. Now, if I'm walking or jogging outdoors and it's hot, yes, I sweat, but otherwise, when I'm indoors, my temperature stays normal. I mean, I feel exerted, so I think that's enough of a sign.
Reply:yes sweat doesn't equal amount of calories burned. You can sweat alot and barely burn any calories. has nothing to do with how much calories you burn.
Reply:If you don't sweat at all while doing exercises, that may be something you need to look into. Make sure you're drinking enough water during the day. If you're dehydrated and you exercise strenously, you may experience some health problems.

Otherwise, sweating doesn't have anything to do with burning calories.
Reply:Absolutely. Don't overdo it because you don't sweat - you are definitely burning calories - most machines will tell you an idea of how many. Listen to the signals your body does give you (fatigued muscles etc).

Excess armpit sweating?

I have this and my derm dr gave me a prescription of Drysol. He said it would feel prickly like a porcipne in my armpit. He was right on the money. It's killing me not to scratch. I'm not- but this is driving me crazy. I am on day way of treatment. He said this was normal and it will be worth it. Has anyone been on this?
Excess armpit sweating?
No, I haven't been on Drysol, however, I am familiar with the product, and the fact that (as humorous as it may sound) a lot of excessive sweating underneath the armpit is in fact caused by fungi! Don't feel bad, it doesn't mean you're 'stinky' or 'dirty' it just happens! Just like getting a virus or a cold. The good news is that Drysol will cure it, it's not necessarily reoccurring, so you may never have this problem again! The itching will probably recede a little as your skin adapts, I would also refrain from shaving... This of course may depend on your wardrobe, and the length of your prescription! :)
Excess armpit sweating?
I had surgery in the 80s to remove my sweatglands--yhey don't do that any more--don't know bout Drysol bu t have heard Botox injections are the preferred treatment now
Reply:Yes I have been (still am actually). At first it annoyed the hell out of my and I actually gave into it a few times. It resulted in extremely irritated skin in the morning that was uncomfortable when wearing clothing. Over time I have learned to live with it as it is only temporary and since I use it right before I go to bed the hardest part is just getting to sleep then by morning its fine. It does work wonders so a little temporary itching in my book is way outweighed by the results.

Does excesssive sweating rid your bodies of a lot of inpurities or does it have no real benefit?

it gets rid of. you sweat bc that's you bodys way of cooling down. it has a benefit.
Does excesssive sweating rid your bodies of a lot of inpurities or does it have no real benefit?
I don't think so. Sweating usually only has to do with body temperature.
Does excesssive sweating rid your bodies of a lot of inpurities or does it have no real benefit?
Sweating does get rid of some excess impurities, but for most people its main benefit is that it cools you off, if there's a breeze. Excess sweating would get rid of more impurities, but if it's not associated with excess exertion, it could be a symptom of several diseases. It can be called hyperhydrosis.

Hyperhydrosis is a natural body function needed for the regulation of body-temperature. There are five million sweat glands throughout the body and about two-thirds of these glands are situated in the hands. The secretion of sweat is controlled by the nervous system. In approximately 1% of the population, the nerves are over-stimulated and sweat is produced far greater than needed to keep a constant temperature. This condition may be episodic or continuous. Profuse sweating may be caused by warm weather, emotional stress, or for no reason at all.

Hyperhydrosis may be part of an underlying medical condition (secondary Hyperhydrosis ) or may be of unknown cause (primary Hyperhydrosis). In general, secondary Hyperhydrosis involves the entire body.

Ridiculous embarrassing sweating...?

Ok, another ?. I am female, 29 and had twins a few months ago. I am hypothyroid, type 2 diabetic and obviously overweight due to baby weight excess... I have MAJOR hot flashes. I drip on the upper part of my body. face, in my hair, on my neck, forehead etc. It is embarrassing and ridiculous. I went to the dr. and she did bloodwork and said that everything is fine... she did not know what to do? What the hell? I am just miserable at times. Has anyone ever experienced this and what did they do? I am losing weight healthy. Is it just the excess weight? or is my body in overheat mode? Thank you!
Ridiculous embarrassing sweating...?
Having twins is pretty rough on the body for one thing- if you are not used to being the weight you are, it is possible your body will become overly tired faster and your pours more prone to sweat it out due to it.

I agree with the hypothyroid condition contributing- but keep in mind, we know our bodies more than any doctor, if you feel there is something more, get a second opinion- Doctors are like drivers, just because we carry a license, doesn't mean we are good drivers!

In the meantime, try a low sodium routine for a while, no pre-packed, canned, boxed or frozen foods- no ketchup or fast food, go with fresh veggies, no salt, butter is okay, check labels prior to eating anything, if it is high in sodium, avoid it.

Sodium causes high BP and also tends to retain water, bloat you and yes, sweat more.

Secondly drink lots of water and if you get a flash you take a hand towel and run it under cold water until it is drenched end to end- ring it out and place it on the back of your neck, it will cool you down instantly.

I wish you the best and congratulations on your little ones- which brings me to also mention you may just be over doing it- you have your hands full over there and with diabetes, and the extra weight- try to pace yourself a little better SOMEHOW- family or friends may be able to take over an hour so you can have some "ME" time. You need time for yourself too.

Many hugs-
Ridiculous embarrassing sweating...?
You could have a condition called Hyperhidrosis..look it up
Reply:Well, what about getting a second opinion? I sweat a lot too and have just learned to get over it. I drink a lot of water so even if I get sweaty I don't stink and so if you're uncomfortable looking at me all sweaty then don't look. Make use of a bandana or hair band to absorb the sweat, wear cotton because it's very absorbent.
Reply:im no doctor but id say it was because of your heath prb.look up on goggle ,yahoo or jeeves about your illness and see if any of them have these problems....also never hurts to ask another doctor.....
Reply:It sounds as though your doctor has ignored one of the most possible scenarios - you are going into early menopause. Twenty-nine is young, but there are numerous cases of women who enter menopause in their late twenties or early thirties. The combination of hypothyroidism and diabetes, along with your weight, might have just kicked off a pseudo-menopause. It is embarrassing and very inconvenient, and the sad thing is there isn't much you can do about it. Some women find relief from estrogen - perhaps you could ask your doctor to prescribe a low level estrogen regime for you, on a trial basis. If it's pseudo or genuine menopause, that will allay the symptoms. If it's something else, the premarin pills won't have any effect, so you could use it as a diagnostic tool.

Congratulations on your twins - you must be a busy lady now!
Reply:I'm at age 59.. I have been doing this for the pass ten year. I'm over weight..... But at time I don't think it that... We have got to try to live with it..... Its hard to do sometime...... Hang in there......... Good Luck............
Reply:I'm no doctor so I won't even try to offer you medical advice. BUT it sounds to me as if your hormones have just been thrwn out by the birth of the baby.

Excessive sweating is known medically as idiopathic hyperhidrosis. It's not nice! My mother had it during menopause (it has stopped now she's past her menopause thank goodness).

There are drugs you can take and there are professional therapists who specialise in it.

I suggest you go with what your doctor says for now. When you get to 3-4 months after the birth of your baby you might want to consider some kind of toxicity clearout (colonic irrigation or a herbal treatment for toxicity). This used to help my mother for a few months.

But generally, getting your thyroid condition and your weight under control ought to be enough.

If you look up idiopathic hyperhidrosis on google you'll get a long list of therapies and other information that will help you out.

If the condition goes on a long time you definitely need a specialist therapist to sort you out.

Good luck to you - and to the new baby as well!

I hate sweating at the gym, after an hour of cardio my shirt is drenched, it makes me self-conscious any tips?

Don't let the fact that you sweat keep you from working out. Try a synthetic fiber shirt (like Under Armor or Nike Dri-Fit) - those keep the sweat off of your skin and it evaporates faster. It hides sweat much better than a standard cotton T-shirt.

You're doing too much cardio anyway. lift weights, CARDIO IS CRAP.

PS: No, sorry, I will restate: CARDIO IS CRAP.

Cardio isn't crap but you could substitute some weights. Also underarmor will stay dry.

Cotton mouth, sweating, hands shaking and chest hurting what can it be??

It sounds like a full fledged Panic Attack! Nasty thing. when this happens try grabbing a paper bag and breathing into it, should slow down your breathing and soon attack will be gone. Make sure to let your Doctor know you are having these attacks. A heart attack unlikely so reat a little easier. Do follow through with the Doc. Good Luck

Reply:I dont know how old you are, but I would definitely go and get checked out. If you dont want to go to the e.r., then call your family doctor.
Reply:Pneumonia! Or it could also be a panic attack if you have these at night and usually wakes you up. Try to make an appointment with your doctor. And if the chest pain gets worse get to the ER!
