What causes severe sweating of the arm pit?

Heavy under arm sweat can be caused by several factors.


1) Hyperhidrosis as the first answerer mentioned. This is a medical condition.


2) Psychological reasons. If you get easily embarrased you can sweat more.


3) Physical. For example, overweight people can sweat more because their body tends to get overheated more easily.





I have had great success greatly reducing the sweat caused by all of these using an anti perspirant called Certain Dri, which can be purchased in drug stores.
