Sweating / hot flashes with braxton hicks?

I'm asking again, because I only got 2 answers last time, and I'm really wanting some feedback on this.....





I am about 4 weeks away from due date. It's 71 degrees inside my house. I have not done anything except eat a corn dog while I've been on the computer. It's normal for me to have alot of braxton hicks. For about a week there's at least 2 an hour. But for some reason, today, they make me sweat. When it goes away, my body temperature goes back to normal. Did/does that happen to you? I don't remember with my other pregnancies it ever doing that.

Oh, and I really don't think its the real thing. They are no where near close enough to eachother or last very long.

Braxton-Hicks contractions are like a dress rehearsal 鈥?your uterine muscles are flexing in preparation for the big job they'll have to do in the near future. Some must be pretty good ones.


Your pregnancy hormones are hard at work, sending messages to your body to (very slowly) start the process of childbirth.


With the hormones out of wack if you will...you may sweat. It is ok.


Your body is hard at work and it thinks it is cause for a little sweat i guess...lol no it is hormones sweety.

hi,i agree somewhat with the last message,however,i would see your ob/gyn as you could be in slow labour,better to get checked.the sweating is normal,but make sure you drink plenty to prevent de-hydration.good luck with your little one.xx
