Does sweating make you lose weight?

Sweating makes you lose water, but not weight. The weight from the water will come back as soon as you eat/drink something. You lose weight by doing cardio, which exercises major muscles groups and elevates your heart beat. You will probably sweat in the process, but the weight loss comes from the exercise, not the sweat.
Does sweating make you lose weight?
Yes, but in the same way that drinking water would make you gain weight.

Reply:yes you will lose water weight, but the thing w. losing water weight is you gain it back very easily, because its just water..
Reply:no dehydrates you..........drink lots of water
Reply:yes
Reply:Sweating does help, but the best thing is that its the bodies way of ridding itself of toxins. it is very healthy, unless of corse you sweat way to much, that is not normal, see a doctor if that is the case.
Reply:Sweating is one of the most socially distressing results of being too fat, due in part to the fact that fat people have to make a greater physical effort than thin people whenever they move, or even breathe, due in the main to the fat covering the body like very thick, tight woollen clothes, so that every movement is hindered and at the same time the body coated, as it were, in a thick layer of fat gets too warm and must sweat to get cool

Reply:It actually depends on what ur doing when u sweat.. In itself sweat won't really make u lose weight.. Maybe a couple of calories or so. But if for instance, ur exercising than u will drop a few pounds that will be shown on the scale..
Reply:I would have to say if your 400lbs sweating watching t.v. and eating cheeto's that would be a big NO. So I guess it would depend on what you were doing to make you sweat.
Reply:sort of but it just cools your body down and dehydrates...making you take in more water...thus more sweating...its kinda like a cycle
