when i eat spicy or sour foods, or even THINK about consuming them, i start to sweat arouund my nose and forehead and i start to salivate. for example, i was thinking about eating sour gummy worms, and my face started getting hot and my mouth excreted bitter saliva. when i walk to my class, even when it is very cold, i sweat a little and when i get into class my forehead has beads of sweat. Im a normal teenager, not overweight or anything... what do you think it is? oh, and if this has anything to do with it, my father has diabetes. help
How do you stop excessive sweating and salivating?
im the same way. i walk into class just casually not even running and it's even cold and i still sweat. im also a teenager, 15, and i dont know why its happening to me but just know that you're not the only one
and to answer your first question, i know why you salivate when you think about food. well we learned in science that the saliva helps to break down the food when you eat so before you know you're going to eat (or if you're mind is thinking about eating) your body creates the saliva it will need. there is also a study about how dogs were put to a test to see everyday when they got food they knew exactly what time they got it at. and just minutes before their mealtime, you could see them salivating like crazy. i hope this answers your question
