I have a 9 month old and he seems to sweat a lot, he is warm to the touch and sweaty but the temp is normal. He sweats the most at night but he also sweats while playing, eating, seems to be all the time. He is not wet though, almost clamy.
I have a question about sweating?
My son gets hot and sweats alot too - we have to keep the temp cooler for him and not bundle him up.Make sure he drinks alot of water!!! I would talk to a Pediatrician though. Having an overactive thyroid, or hyperthyroidism, can also cause excessive sweating, but you would expect other symptoms. It is also a factor of diabetes. Talk it over with his doctor on his next checkup. Best Wishes!

you should talk to his doctor. If he is energetic and because he is so young it could be that.......... not being mean at ALL but if your child is big he might have problems.
Reply:This could be caused by a food allergy.
Hyperhidrosis can be caused by food allergies, or a mineral/vitamin deficiency. I had it for a long time before learning this.
Check out this article about hyperhidrosis, grains, and sugars. Scroll about halfway down the page.

I had hyperhidrosis and other symptoms for many years. I tried all the usual treatments including ETS surgery, prescriptions, antiperspirants, botox, etc. The surgery was most helpful but several years later hyperhidrosis began to return.
This year I was diagnosed with a few food allergies and celiac disease. I eliminated wheat, dairy, and sugar from my diet. I stopped all prescriptions and began taking supplements for B vitamins and magnesium.
