is it common or even normal for a woman to sweat profusely at night after having delivered a baby through c-section?
Sweating common post delivery??
I don't think the C-section has anything to do with it. It's the change in hormones. I used to always be cold. Now that I've given birth I am always hot!

I had my baby by c-section as well. Expect your horomones are out of wack right now after just giving birth. You may experience hot flashes and mood swings for the next few weeks to a month. It will pass in time though.
Talk with your doctor if it is too much to handle. There is no shame in asking. :-)
Congrats on the baby!!
Reply:yes it is- it has nothing to do with a c-section.... both women who deliver through a c-section or natural delivery can suffer from sweating profusely. its the pregnancy hormones that are in your system. other things that might happen is hair falling out, painful first periods...and so on. it will go away in time :)
Reply:Yes, it is one of the ways your body gets rid of the excess fluid after delivery (vaginal or cesarean doesn't matter). Hormones are still out of wack and trying to stabilize as well.
Drink plenty of fluids to keep yourself hydrated.
Good luck!
Reply:C-Section has nothing to do with it...It is your hormones...Are you still taken your prenatal vitamins? They will help...and Yes it is normal...Thank your wonderful hormones
Congrats on the baby!!!
Reply:You know what now that you've mentioned it I have been sweating a lot since I had my son and it's really bad at night. I don't know if it's because of the C-section but I never use to sweat this much. It might be that, it may also be hormone changes. Ask your doctor.
Reply:Yes, I had natural birth and I sweated a lot afterwards, it is your body losing all the extra fluid you carried around. Just make sure you drink plently of water. Now days I'm most of the time warm before pregnancy I was always chilly.
